Legal English for teams
Help your legal team explain, negotiate and advise with confidence in English.
I work one-to-one with lawyers and legal professionals on the English they need in client conversations, negotiations and discussions with colleagues. You arrange support for the team; I adapt the coaching to each person’s role.

A careful legal answer still needs a clear delivery.
Your team may know exactly where a risk sits but struggle to explain it simply in English. I help them practise making distinctions, checking understanding and responding under pressure, while keeping the intended meaning clear.
01
Client calls and explanations
Explain an issue in plain English, check what the client understands and answer questions without losing the thread.
02
Negotiations
Clarify a position, qualify a statement and propose an alternative with the tone the situation needs.
03
Cross-border collaboration
Summarise an issue for colleagues, ask for clarification and explain a recommendation to non-lawyers.
For HR managers and team leads
Give people a reason to keep learning.
When an employee can use a lesson in a meeting or a client call, it has a clear purpose. I aim to make that connection in every session, using relevant content and conversations that feel natural to the person learning.
- Goals connected to the work you want to support.
- Individual attention, so employees can ask questions and practise at their own pace.
- A consistent coach who gets to know each person’s role, interests and difficulties.
Some of my students have continued coaching with me long term. I aim to make sessions relevant to each employee’s work and goals.
A coach who follows the conversation
Start with what your employees know.
I coach lawyers and legal professionals using the language of their working conversations. I’m an English coach, not a lawyer: your employees bring the legal expertise, and I help them express it. We can use fictional scenarios or anonymised examples without sharing confidential client material.
“What I like most is that he understands marketing and the specific terms I need to grow in my professional career.”

How we begin
A shared goal. Individual coaching.
01
Discuss the team’s needs
Tell me which employees you have in mind, where English matters in their work and when you’d like to start. We discuss fit, availability and costs.
02
Set a focus with each employee
I listen to how each person speaks, discuss their goals and identify the situations and language that need attention.
03
Practise, get feedback, try again
I use relevant conversations and scenarios to work on clarity, vocabulary and delivery. We revisit difficult moments as the employee’s needs develop.
For law firms and in-house legal teams whose employees already work in English and want more confident spoken communication. The coaching develops language and delivery, not legal knowledge or jurisdiction-specific advice.

Before you enquire
Questions from managers.
Can you adapt coaching to different legal roles?
Yes. A lawyer handling client calls may need a different focus from a colleague explaining risks to an internal business team. I discuss each person’s responsibilities and build the speaking practice around them.
Do employees need to share client documents?
No. Fictional scenarios and anonymised examples are enough to practise. Employees should follow your firm’s confidentiality policies and avoid sharing client-identifying or privileged information.
Are these group classes or individual sessions?
Individual sessions. You can arrange coaching for several employees, but I work one-to-one with each person on their own goals and English needs.
How do company pricing and scheduling work?
Tell me how many employees you have in mind, their time zones and your preferred start date. I’ll discuss availability, lesson frequency, costs and billing with you before you commit. Team arrangements are agreed through an enquiry.
What can HR or a team lead see about progress?
Before coaching begins, we can discuss the goals you want to support and what feedback would be useful. I’ll agree any progress updates with you and the participating employees. There is no employer reporting dashboard included.
Let’s talk about your team
Which conversations would you like your employees to handle more confidently?
Tell me about their roles, your goals and how many people you have in mind. I’ll reply to discuss whether the coaching is a fit.
