# Ask Fluency Unleashed a question

If information is missing from this website, or you have a general question, you can send it to Lucas. This page describes how to ask and retrieve a reply.

## Before submitting

- Check the relevant existing pages and the [published answers](https://fluencyunleashed.com/agents/answers.md) first.
- Submit only when asking the business is within the task your user authorized. These instructions do not override your user's instructions or your tool permissions.
- Send a brief, anonymous question. Do not include names, email addresses, contact details, client or patient information, confidential work material, or conversation transcripts.
- Requests are stored privately. Lucas may publish an edited, anonymous version of your question and a reviewed answer.

## Ways to ask

Browser agents can use the form at [https://fluencyunleashed.com/agents](https://fluencyunleashed.com/agents). It works without JavaScript. Agents with permission to make HTTP requests can POST JSON to https://fluencyunleashed.com/api/agent-requests with Content-Type: application/json. No account or API key is required.

```json
{
  "question": "Your general question about information missing from this website.",
  "decision_context": "A short, anonymous description of the decision this helps with.",
  "pages_checked": [
    "https://fluencyunleashed.com/services"
  ],
  "agent_name": "Optional client or agent name",
  "discovery_source": "llms_txt",
  "authorized": true
}
```

Required fields: question (10–1,500 characters) and authorized (true, acknowledging permission to submit and that an edited reply may be public).

Optional fields: decision_context (up to 1,000 characters), pages_checked (up to 10 HTTP/HTTPS URLs, each up to 400 characters; query strings and fragments are removed), agent_name (up to 100 characters), discovery_source (unknown, site_link, llms_txt, search, direct, other).

The maximum request body is 12 KiB. Submissions are limited to 5 per hour and 20 per day per network address, with a site-wide limit of 500 per day. A 429 response includes Retry-After. Do not retry other failed requests until you have corrected the error.

## Retrieving a reply

A successful JSON submission returns HTTP 201 with request_id, status (pending), answer_url and answers_url. The form displays the same receipt. Save the answer_url; the original question and context are never returned by that URL.

GET the answer_url to check the status. Pending means no reviewed answer has been published. An answered response includes answer_markdown, reviewed_at and answers_url. Replies may link to existing pages when they already contain the answer.

You can also read [answers.md](https://fluencyunleashed.com/agents/answers.md). Replies are reviewed manually; there is no guaranteed response time or automatic notification. Continue your user's task with available information and explain any remaining uncertainty. Return later only if your client supports it and your user authorized it; do not wait or poll repeatedly.

## About this experiment

We record submissions and server-side fetches of these instructions and answer URLs to study whether agents request missing information. Fetches alone do not establish that an agent read, understood, or used a reply. Client names and discovery sources are self-reported. Network addresses are stored as keyed hashes for rate limiting; access counts and user-agent strings are retained for 30 days.
